Chasing a dream, don't be realistic!!!!

Hello Everyone, i am a complete stranger in this world of bloggers and of course this is my first entry and guess what?, i am starting with a blasphemy.

Well, do we have a person on this planet who hasn't got a dream? I don't believe so, even if somebody claims of not having any. Some implosive people never admit that they too chase something or someone. Any which way, its really strange that since birth we have been taught a lot about the concept of compromise. Its a weird thing that our parents tell us that compromising and adjusting to a situation makes us versatile. We are told that we have a few responsibilities at hand and we must not shy away from them and when we sacrifice something which could have been a milestone for us and land up being nowhere, we get to listen to the taunts from almost everyone who has been blessed with a mouth. Tongues start wagging, eyebrows tend to rise like sun and then it starts piercing. The whole idea of sacrifice starts to rip us apart.

I think we must practice a novel idea to counter all the unhappening things in our life. But, we have to get rid of our conscience in order to get better results. When we have something to achieve in life and that something can create a turnaround for us then i don't think anything should hold us back. The idea is to make every possible and apparently impossible move to get to the goal. Like someone has said in the past " Start counting your chickens even before they are hatched". If we start taking things in a realistic manner then we would only manage to get a mediocre result. I must present an example, i have a friend who was never interested in studies still wanted to make it big in life. He never had great results and didn't even complete his graduate studies. Everybody had an advice for him. Some told him to stop day dreaming as graduation is the first step towards professional success. Some said, "You are simply spoiling your own self by not studying" and God knows what. But he had his way and never did it. Defying all formidable and non formidable odds, he is currently working with a reputed American company and at a good position and he is just 25. I am a professional graduate with a hospitality degree and all the traits of a highly successful person but i am just nowhere( Yes, unsuccessful people do write blogs). I too have huge dreams but all i am doing is being realistic, thinking about all the problems and shortcomings near me, not taking a forceful action as it might hurt someone and screw up his/her life.

When we are trying to do something, we must not get bogged down due to someone else's failure while taking the same route. Even if we are to take an untraveled path, whats the deal?? Why not to be the distinguished inventor. If rules are there and we can only follow ten rules, why not to force and force it so hard that the eleventh rule gets encrypted. History shows it all, Alexander was advised not to be highly extravagant with his earth conquering plans but he went against almost everything and its there for everyone to see that what our history books have to say about him. Mahmud of Ghazni was warned of the dire consequences for deciding to attack Indian subcontinent but he did and did that with a resounding victory and that too for a great number of years.

I must say we all have a great conqueror in us which is pleading to be explored. This all may seem like a pile of bollocks but i strongly feel that its atleast worth sparing a thought or two. Think about it.

I'll come back with much more.

Cheerz....
